Scooby Doo, where are you?

EnV didn't eat breakfast and was anxious all day, so we knew it was today.  She started labor around 4:30 pm slowly then pushed pretty hard for 2 hrs from 6:15-8:15 pm. Finally, we call the vet and she wants to see her. Through the mud and muck we drive to the vet clinic on a Saturday night emergency call.  Ruh-roh!  Scooby Doo, where are you?  We originally thought there was a Shaggy in there too, but... We discuss the matter and make the decision to do a c-section.  At about 9:45 pm, Little Scooby Doo entered the world, a gorgeous black tri boy.  He screamed his head off when he arrived but that didn't last long.  He's a very quiet little sweet boy!

While raising a singleton can be challenging, we are up to it.  It's not our 'first rodeo'.  Fortunately, Chatter's pups are due in less than 2 weeks so he will have lots of friends to play with.

We got home about 11:30 pm and both mom and Scooby are doing great!  It was a long night because we kept getting up to check on him.  Once EnV cried for someone to get her up so she could get a drink of water.  We think she's 'milkin' this!

5/24 - Scooby is staying warm with lots of nice fuzzy blankets and a heating pad.  We have added some 'friends' to his bed area! He weighs 13 oz.

This is going to be a fun summer, spending lots of time with Scooby and his friends 'coming soon'!
